Meditation is commonly described as a training of mental attention that awakens us beyond the conditioned mind and habitual thinking and reveals the nature of reality. In this guide, the process and the fruit of meditation practice are understood as Natural Presence.
Presence is a mindful, clear recognition of what is happening—here, now—and the open, allowing space that includes all experience. There are many supportive strategies (called “skillful means”) that create a conducive atmosphere for the deepening of presence. The art of practice is employing these strategies with curiosity, kindness and a light touch. The wisdom of practice is remembering that Natural Presence is always and already here. It is the loving awareness that is our essence.
Meditation is the adventure, the greatest adventure the human mind can undertaken meditation is just to be, not doing anything no action thought no emotion. you just are and it is a sheer delight from where does this delight come when you are not doing anything? it comes from nowhere or it comes from everywhere. it is uncaused because existence is made of the self-called joy.
Here I have given two examples of our activity and meditation.
I am speaking to you but my meditation is not distrubed i can go on speaking but at my very center there is not even a ripple it just silent , utterly silentr. So meditation is not against action it is not that you have to escap from life. it simply teaches you a new way of life you become the center of cyclone. Your life goes on , it goes on really more intensely- with more joy with more clarity, more vision more creativity-yet you are aloof, just a watcher on the hills simply seeing all that is happening aruound you. you are not the doer, you are the watcher.
A Crow crowing you are listening these are two object and subjet but can't you see a writhess who is seeing both ?- the crow, the listener and still there is someone who is wathing both it is such a simple pheomenon. you are seeing a tree you are there the tree is there but can't you find one think more that you are seeing the tree that there is a withess in you which is seeing you seing the tree.
Watching is meditation what you watch is irrelevant you can watch the tree, you can watch the river, you can watch the clouds you can watch children playing around watching is meditation. what you watch is not the point the object is not the point the quality of observation, the quality of being aware and alert that is what meditation is to remember one thing
Meditation requires practice and can be hard work, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. In fact, by finding the type of meditation that's right for you, the process can be very enjoyable indeed. We recommend trying each of these meditations. It is good for you. It can help you feel calmer and has a host of other benefits.
Benefits of meditation
Growing insensitivity:- meditation will bring you sensitivity, a great sense of belonging to the world the stars are our, and we are not foreigners here. Sensitivity will create the new friendship for your friendships with tree, with birds, with animals, with mountains, with river, with Oceans. With stars. Life becomes richer as love grows, as friendless grows.
Love, the fragrance of meditation:- if you meditate, sooner or later you will come upon love. If you meditate deeply, sooner or later you will start feeling a tremendous love arising in you that you have never know before- a new door quality to your being, a new flame and now you want to share. Love makes you meditative if it is on the right lines. Meditation makes you loving if it is on the right lines. You want a love which is born out of meditation, not born out of the mind. That is the love I continually talk about. Millions of couples around the world are living as if love is there.
Compassion:-Buddha has defined compassion as “love plus meditation.” When your love is not just a desire for other, when your love is not only a need, when your love is a sharing, when your love is not that of a beggar but that of an emperor, when your love is not asking for something in return but is ready only to give- to give for the sheer joy of giving-then add meditation to it and the pure fragrance is released, the imprisoned splendour is released. That is compassion. It is the highest phenomenon, sex is animal, love is human, compassion is divine. Sex is physical love is psychological, compassion is spiritual.
Intelligence:-the ability to respond—What is demanded of you. What is challenge of the situation? The intelligent person behaves according to the situation and the stupid behave according to the readymade answers. The intelligent person depends on his own insight he trusts his own being. He loves and respects himself. The unintelligent person respects others.
Aloneness:- your self-nature—aloneness is flower, a lotus blooming in your heart. Aloneness is positive, aloneness is health. It is the joy of being yourself. It is the joy of being yourself. It is the joy of having your own space. Meditation means bliss in being alone. One is really alive when one has become capable of it when there is no dependence any more on anybody, on any situation, on any condition.
Your real Self:- meditation is nothing but a device to make you aware of your real self- which is not created by you, which need not be created by you, which you already are. You are born with it. You are it! It needs to be discovered. If this is not possible, or if the society does not allows
Abiding joy for no reason at all for no reason at all you suddenly fell yourself joyous. In ordinary life, if there is some reason, you are joyful. You have met a beautiful woman and you are joyous, or you have got the money that you always wanted and you are joyous, or you have purchased the house with a beautiful garden and you are joyous, but these joys cannot last long, there is a different kind of joy that is a confirmatory sign: you are suddenly joyous for no reason at all. You cannot pinpoint why. If somebody asks, “why are you so joyous?” you cannot answer.
They are living in the world od ‘as if’. Of course, how can they be joyous? They are drained of all energy. They are trying to get something out of a false love; it cannot deliver the goods. Hence the frustration, hence the continuous boredom, hence the continuous nagging, fighting between the lovers. They are both trying to do something which is impossible they are trying to make their love affair something of the eternal, which it cannot be. It has arisen out of the mind and mind cannot give you any glimpse of the eternal.
First go into meditation, because love will come out of meditation it is the fragrance of meditation.
The Pancha Bhutas (five elements) govern or dominate specific parts of the body and are also symbolised in each finger.
Acupressure Therapy states that the key to our health is in our hands and that a particular kind of energy is continuously transmitted from them. It is believed that there is a chakra in the centre of the palm which emits an electromagnetic ray.
Most of us have experienced that whenever we rub our hands together, it generates heat. If one adds the power of mind and love, the results can be dramatic. Like the Universe the
The proper study of Mudras helps us to control the 5 elements. These Mudras can create energy waves in our body which help to bring the 5 elements into a proper balance.
The following five mudras are thought to directly influence the “Fire, Air, Space, Earth, Water” in the physical body. The purpose of mudraes is to activate and create a circuit of prana in the body. This circuit channels the prana in a specific way to create subtle effects and beneficial changes in different parts of the body system. People fold their fingers in various mudras. It is little known however that Mudra science is tattva yoga. Tattva Yoga is based on the science of elements.

Crown Chakra and mudra
The Sanskrit word chakra refers to the wheel of energy in our body. You have probably heard of "Omming"...this is the most widely known mantra and when we speak of "Omming" we are not speaking about one particular sound but many but the Om sound is the most important of all mantras. All mantras usually begin and end with Om.These then cure many diseases, be they physical, mental and/or spiritual. Achaarya Keshav Deo states: "If a human body is a machine, the mudras are the controlling switches of this machine". Different Mudras are performed for different purposes.
When we use Mantras ("Omming" sounds) to help open our chakras it is very beneficial to use Mudras at the same time. Each chakra has its own Mudra which helps the "Om" sound vibrate more easily.
In Hinduism and Buddhism, a sacred syllable, word, or verse believed to possess mystical or spiritual power is called a Mantra... Mantras may be spoken aloud or uttered in thought, and they may be either repeated or sounded only once.
Mantras are energy and so vibrate...and these vibrations can do many things. Most mantras have no verbal meaning, but they are significant and help us in our spiritual lives.
By repeating a mantra you can induce a trancelike state and this can lead you to a higher level of spiritual awareness.
When chanted, these sounds cause a resonation in your body that you should be able to feel at the chakra they are meant for. The best position for you to sit in when using these Mudras is cross-legged on the floor but it is not absolutely vital.
the
"A" is pronounced as in "ah" the "M" is

Here
are the names of the 7 main chakras, the number associated with it, its name,
where it is located, the colour of the energy it uses, the sacred Sanskrit
sound (vowel) associated with it and what it effects in your body. Which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.
Crown chakra: The highest represents our
ability to be fully connected spiritually.
Crown chakra-Put your hands in front of your stomach and let
the ring fingers point upwards, touching at their tips. Cross the rest of your
fingers, with the left thumb underneath the right. Concentrate on the Crown
Chakra at the top of your head and chant the sound NG.
The CROWN CHAKRA is the seventh chakra. Located at the top of the head, it gives us access to higher states of consciousness as we open to what is beyond our personal preoccupations and visions. Crown chakra has a total of 960 spokes and is the most magnificent of all the chakras when it is fully awakened. It is the only chakra that possesses a secondary central whirlpool. This chakra is predominantly violet except for the central whirlpool which is similar to golden sunlight.
The Crown chakra is your spiritual connection. It is also the place where life-force enters into the chakra system. In an underdeveloped state this chakra is the same size as the others. However as it grows and opens it will encompass the entire head. This encompassing of the entire head is where the idea of putting a halo on various deities came from. It is also the place where the tradition of a king wearing a crown comes from. The crown symbolizing the fully opened and active crown chakra, indicating that the individual was ruling with God and not just ruling with the human self. A misaligned Crown Chakra can cause self-centeredness, spiritual poverty and poor reality control, as well as low energy all the time. Like the 3rd eye chakra, the crown chakra should never be left wide open, unless you are working with it. Energetically, the seventh chakra has a connection with the first chakra, as they both are at the extremities of the chakra system.

Put your hands in front of the lower part of your breast.
Place the middle fingers straight and let them touch at the tops, pointing
forward. The other fingers are bent and touch at the upper two phalanges. The
thumbs point towards you and touch at the tops. Concentrate on the Third Eye
Chakra slightly above the point between your eyebrows and chant the sound OM.
It is pronounced "Aum".
Location:
The very top of head.
Emotional
issue: Inner and outer beauty, our connection to spirituality, pure
bliss.

Third Eye Chakra: Our ability to focus on
and see the big picture.
Location:
Forehead between the eyes.(Also called the brow chakra)
Emotional
issue: Intuition, imagination, wisdom, ability to think and make
decisions.
The Third Eye Chakra has a total of 96 spokes.
The Third Eye Chakra is your intuitive intelligence. it is
the centre that taps into the universal consciousness. Through the Third Eye
centre you can see things from a psychic potential.
Many people who begin to develop their psychic self may find
they get a lot of headaches. The reason being you are opening up this third eye
area and you are probably walking around with it wide open, which allows
anything and everything to come on in, overwhelming your third eye.
Unless you are working with the third eye psychically or in
meditation, etc., you should always 'switch off' this chakra. Many people do
this by 'switching off' an imaginary switch at the side of their head and find
it works.
This chakra is one of the two places where your spirit can
leave your body in an out of body experience or in an astral projection. A
misaligned Third Eye chakra can cause memory problems, migraines, insomnia,
neuralgia, high blood pressure, lumbago, sciatica, low immune system and acute
sinus problems.
If you suffer from frequent headaches, taking an indigo hand
towel, soaking it in cool water, lying down and placing the towel over the
forehead area for a little while is a very good remedy. As the indigo energy
feeds the third eye so the headache begins to go.
Throat chakra-Our
ability to communicate.
Location: throat
Emotional issues: Communication,
self-expression of feelings the truth.
Physical association: thyroid,
respiratory system, teeth,
Cross your fingers on the inside of your hands, without the
thumbs. Let the thumbs touch at the tops and pull them slightly upwards.
Concentrate on the Throat Chakra at the base of the throat and chant the sound
HAM.
The Throat chakra has 16 spokes. Although it is
predominantly blue it does have alternating blue and green sections.
The Throat chakra is your communication power station. it is
the centre that handles incoming and outgoing messages. It is through this
chakra that we voice our opinions and our truths.
If you have an important meeting or business deal coming up
or something along those lines, or if you need to get things off your chest to
someone, wear a light blue shirt or surround yourself with the light blue
energy and your "communication" will be effortless and powerful.
If you have a sore throat or suffer from constant throat
problems it may be because you're not "communicating" something you
ought to be. a lot of us in our lives "bite our tongues" so to speak,
rather than say what we need to and that can manifest itself into throat
problems.
As well as throat problems a misaligned Throat chakra can
cause, persistent colds or flu that take a long time to leave, tonsillitis,
acute infections, vocal and communication difficulties and under active thyroid.
It can also effect the sternum, and endocrines.
Heart Chakra (Anahata) love, relationship And
self-acceptance
Hear chakra-Our ability to love
Location: Centre of chest just above heart.
Emotional: love, joy, inner peace
Physical association: Heart, thymus, lower lungs, circulatory system, immune
system.
Heart chakra :-Place the fingers of each hand in the same
position, with the tips of your index finger and thumb touching. Now place your
left hand on your left knee and your right hand in front of the lower part of
your breast bone (a little bit above the Solar Plexus). Concentrate on the
Heart Chakra and chant the sound YAM.
The Heart Chakra has 12 spokes. Although the location of the
Heart Chakra should be inline with the other chakras it can float and be
off-centre to the left or right of the middle line.
This chakra is very important because it is the only chakra
that can transmute the high-vibration energy that comes from the upper three
chakras into a form that can be used by the physical body and on the physical
plane. Healers (of all forms) use this chakra to heal their patients as it is
the Heart Chakra that transmutes the illness into a more dense form, which then
passes through the Foot Chakra and into the earth for processing. When someone
is sending you healing they send green light to you. This chakra can be the
most sensitive to most people.
The term 'broken heart' refers to this chakra breaking off
at the stem that connects the front part of the chakra to the back. This break
causes the heart chakra to shut down causing that empty feeling we are all very
much aware of.
The Fourth Chakra is your heart power station, connecting
you to your emotions. it is the centre that allows you to love and give
unconditionally. The heart centre governs your relationships. It is the energy
centre that integrates one's physical reality to one's spiritual connection.
This chakra is one that many of us tend to keep in the 'bud'
stage and don't' have it fully open so that we don't have to "deal"
with emotional issues, hurt, or pain...and for some, love.
A misaligned Heart chakra can cause lung and heart problems
(especially angina from over-exertion), asthma, epilepsy, fibrosis, chronic
bronchitis, depression, midriff pain and claustrophobia.
Solar Plexus chakra (Manipura)Personal power and ability to
channel
Sacral chakra: our ability to be confident and in- control
of our lives.

pointing away from you. Cross your thumbs. It is important to straighten the
fingers. Concentrate on the Solar Plexus area and chant the sound RAM.
The Solar Plexus chakra has 10 spokes. It is one of the two
chakras where spirit can leave the body during an out of body experience or an
astral projection. It is the most sensitive of the chakras and the easiest
chakra to send energy out of. Like the Heart chakra this chakra can also float
off to the left or right instead of keeping in line with the other chakras.
The Solar Plexus chakra is your mental awareness, which connects
you to you mind power. It is the centre that governs your ability to learn and
comprehend.
This third chakra is also known to govern your ego and your
will power. It is the sun centre that emits optimism and confidence. This is
where the phrase "gut instinct" comes from.
A misaligned Solar Plexus Chakra can cause problems in the
adrenals, nerve tissue, skin disorders (jaundice), liver, spleen, pancreas,
kidneys, arthritis, hiatus hernia, diabetes, anorexia, body pH and menopausal
flushing.
Sacral chakra: Our connection and ability to accept other
and new experience.

Put your hands in your lap with your palms upwards, on top
of each other with your left hand underneath, its palm touching the back of the
fingers of the right hand. The tips of the thumbs touching gently. Concentrate
on the Sacral Chakra, 3 fingers width below the navel and chant the sound VAM.
The Sacral Chakra has 6 spokes.
This chakra supplies some (but not all) the energy
transferred during sex. A misaligned Sacral chakra can cause imbalances in the
endocrine system, muscle tension, poor vitamin C absorption, thyroid problems,
bed-wetting and nervous depression.
The Sacral chakra is your sensing power station, connecting
you to your feeling sensitivities. It is the centre that allows you to live
consciously, in the "now".
It is also the link to your enthusiasm, happiness and
joy...your inner-child. This chakra is one that almost EVERYONE tends to ignore
or doesn't use to its full potential. Our creativity, whether it is expressed
artistically, academically, physically or in the ultimate creative act -
producing the child - is the energy of the second chakra. Second chakra energy
is also the source of our sexuality. A free flow of energy through this chakra
will be manifested as vitality and a passionate approach to life
If you are feeling like the world is closing in around you
and life is overwhelming...eat an orange, sleep on orange sheets, wear an
orange shirt...and it will bring fun-loving energy back into your life.
Root chakra: Represents our foundation and feeling of being
grounded.
Location: Base of spine in tailbone area.

Physical association: Spine, rectum, legs, arms, circulatory system. The colour of this energy centre is :red.
The sound associated with this Chakra is: LAM
Location: Base of spine in tailbone area.
Emotional: Survival issue such as financial independence, money, and food.
Physical association: Spine, rectum, legs, arms, circulatory system. The colour of this energy centre is :red.
The sound associated with this Chakra is: LAM
Root chakra :- Let the tips of your thumb and index finger
touch and concentrate on the Root Chakra which is at the base of the spine and
chant the sound LAM.
The Root Chakra has 4 spokes.
The Root chakra is the home of the kundalini energy and is your main power
station and it is connected to your physical vitality and endurance, mental
perseverance and it is the centre that gives you your life's passion. The First
Chakra is also your connection to your very existence.
The Root Chakra is your GROUNDING chakra, and this is very
IMPORTANT as it is your connection to the Mother Earth energy. Many people who
say they are "grounded" probably like the colour red in their life or
are attracted to things which are red. If this chakra is depleted or blocked,
our connection to nature and the world around us may be weakened. As a result
we are likely to feel "spaced out" and "ungrounded", and
less stable than we usually are. When this happens we may start to neglect our
physical needs and also become unhealthy and weak as a result.
If the energy of this chakra is over stimulated, we may
become too attached to things or the physical world, and place too much
importance on material wealth and possessions. We may be unable to develop the
"higher" levels of our nature because we are afraid to risk losing
these possessions. A miser, a person who is unable to enjoy their wealth for
fear of losing it, is the perfect example of the energy of this chakra being
out of balance.
A misaligned Root chakra can cause things like sexual or
reproductive problems, circulation and blood deficiencies, constipation,
bladder problems and Chronic Fatigue syndrome
